Ah, the dulcet tones of wisdom. Very refreshing.
Having been in the BHG, I know that Athenian speaks tried and tested truth.
There are no restrictions on what ship you can fly. But when you play the game with the rest of members, you begin to understand what works in a given situation and what does not. Sans excessive browbeating and pseudo-bureaucracy. If the carrot isn't appealing enough, then, and only then, do you break out the thumping stick. Does wonders for developing and nurturing respect for the faction leaders as well as for the rp of the faction.
Leading by example is where it's at. Unless the leading figures in a faction are anal-retentive control-freaks who want every faction member to buy into their awe-inspiring vision of what passes for proper rp.
@Tenacity: A very simple solution to lower the numbers of the Geb: take off that BS shield and put the cruiser shield back on. As it is now, it's the poor man's BS.
