We have a contract with the Council to keep piracy at a minimum in Orkney. There isn't much action there, to say the least.
There are 2 possibilities to build on that.
1) Now that Council characters are permitted out of Gallia (some restrictions apply) we can increase that to providing escort/protection services. Our past relationship with Outcasts may give us status to act as a go-between to protect Council diplomatic missions in OC space.
2) Now that Council characters are permitted out of Gallia, we realize this conflicts with our traditional role of working for outcasts. So we would switch to shooting at Council when they leave Gallia, to protect Outcast space, as a new contract with Outcasts. We would also act as (hostile) scouts in Gallia to gain info for Council.
I prefer 2. It opens up more possibility to liven up Gallia. Basically, we would enter Gallia to get information (mapping etc) as spies for the Outcasts, not to shoot anyone. Only when a Council ship tried to leave Gallia for Outcast space would we challenge it. Of course this could be limited to spying only (ie, no challenging them when they leave gallia). When one of us entered Gallia, you (Gallian players) would all be trying to find us and neutralise the spying party. I think it would be fun.
Note : 1) means revising our Council contract. 2) means cancelling our Council contract, and starting a new contract with 101st. (or another outcast faction, but we are currently negotiating with 101st) Perhaps we could add that to the terms of the contract we are currently negotiating with 101st? ie, we act as spies for 101st in Gallia as a secondary benefit of signing with us? (Though I'd like to get paid for the spying. 10 mill per report? or less? lump sum up front? Open to ideas.)
