' Wrote:Switching to a Freelancer tag has been discussed, but even if we end up doing that, we'd never go so far as to be actually hostile to the Bretonian lawfuls. Our actions still retain a lot of (unofficial) support within the Bretonian government, and we still use Bretonian guns smuggled off bases by sympathetic quartermasters. In addition, we have to dock on BAF bases when we're repping, because the Privateer ID requires full BAF Guard reputation.

' Wrote:Well, if you're repping it could just be a stealthy name-change job; if your character is going to be called QCP|Random.Guy, you'd just create the character as Random.Guy until you're finished setting up, at which point you rename to have the Privateer tag.
It'd solve the 'OMG tey're docking on BAF bases conspireceh OLOLOL' syndrom seeing as you'd merely look like BAF indys setting up. After you've got the ID you can droprep, fly to Barrier Gate (technically illegal, due to ZoI restrictions, but meh) and get a Freelancer IFF. Sorted
EDIT @Doc: So if you don't look at a problem, it doesn't exist?

And while I'm at it...
Quote:1) QCP will stop hunting Zoners. But not just like that; both parties will find a creative way to stop. Negotiations. Concessions. A final battle event, if you want. RP your way out of it, but out of it you will go. It is continuing to create too much ill will, the conflict is not supported by the server community at large, and was certainly never desired by the Zoner players. Wanna be unfriendly? Fine, but this all out war is too much to swallow. Pirate their traders when appropriate like you would any other faction, but this focus on Zoners must end.
I'm not so sure if you fellows got that message...
Pirating a trader is one thing, but swarming a battleship with bombers has nothing to do with being a greedy pirate. There's no profit.
On that note, the CoZ hasn't heard anything from Blunt yet - apart from the usual accusations - and we're expecting him to contact us once he's back so we can sort this out and get to an agreement, as demanded by the admins.
