My op on the subject is such, that the Zoners (as a whole) are slowly starting to behave like the holy cows of this mod/server. (Read - ONOZ! Dun touch meeeh SANKSHUUN! FORUM TRIAAAL!)
Being neutral to all is fine by me, there's been such groups throughout history.
However, the Zoners aren't a buch of introvertic weirdoes, owning a few isolated bases here and there anymore. They own a few whole systems, wehere there's nothing but Zoner real estate, shipyards, biodomes, planets... I'd even dare say they're a match for any faction out there.
How about a bit of history? Norway 1940. The Germans invaded in order to ahem... preserve the Norwegian neutrality and beat the British/French to doing the same. I don't think I have to remind anyone how it ended up.
Maybe the Zoners should actually start fighting for their neutrality? And CARING for it?
Ok, so the whole casus belli was the Zoners being too chummy with the Corsairs? Well then? Suspend their docking rights if they abuse your hospitality!
As for zhe privateers, I think they're better-off lurking around Kusari0core space and the Taus/Sigmas.Corect me if I'm wrong, but England/Great britain used to commision privateers against other states she was at war. Tae Sir Francis Drake - they guy would drive the Spaniards crazy! He did -not- however go after all who more or less supported them.
