And since you can't do anything against Eagles in a Mafic, a Ripper-mine (80 speed, 10.000 damage) to keep them busy while I get away. Works fine together with the four backfire-guns.
And it's not the poor man's gunship, the tactics are quite different to flying a gunship.
And don't put on all Advanced Deb. turrets, I tried that and it does not work well. You have no problem taking out someone's shields in a Mafic; the problem starts after that because your target will wiggle around a lot with the shields gone.
Give me a notice when you are ready equipping it, I would love to have a fight just Mafic against Mafic.
