In ever tactical combat example between Battleships and Battle Cruisers, Smaller, heavier fighters, namely the bomber, were the great equalizer. You name it from every book and historical event, game and sci fi movie that used big and large craft,

Even our own WW II showed that a heavy powerful battleship, even the Bismarck, were no match for a wing of bombers. Now I think that is where the problem rests. One bomber, not several, with an anti-matter gun makes even a heavy battleship run for its money. What is it, 3 to 4 shots and a Liberty BS, the one with the big gun, is toast?

Yes, bombers are specifically made to make a Battleships day a very difficult one, but not an impossible one. At the same time, there is no way to counter the Antimatter cannon, no shield or weapon can stop it, and you sure as heck cant dodge it with a Battleship.

The answer seems, not to make things more powerful, yes, you battleship owners would love that, but rather to make a way to counter the antimatter blast or simply reduce the amount of damage it deals.

That way, the Bomber would have to put a little more effort into dodging incoming fire and making 5 to 6 passes rather than just a couple. Maybe fly in pairs or, oh my gosh, a bomber squad! Inconceivable!

I saw a battle in Liberty once between three battleships, some fighters, and an enemy gunboat and some VHF and I can only remember, one bomber. That was last week or something. The Liberty forces were just torn up. I can imagine feeling comfortable with a small fleet of Battleships only to be owned by a fleet thats more like a scout party.

Increasing strength and power is not the answer, giving a better defense or making a turret specifically made to counter bombers and really only bombers, may be the answer.
