Pirate etiquette

Hey folks, since I am still well ok, I am almost a full on lawful player on this server with only one Junker which borders the gap. I would like to pool the knowledge and the experience of the community as the ways of piracy, and the art of doing it right.

We all know a pirate, killed a pirate, shot a pirate, and have even been at the mercy of a pirate over the long history of this server. A lot of pirates here in my knowledge, do things right and RP very well, and go for the less stereotypical "2 mill or die" approach that plagues this player base. I mean, you don't see many traders having a cheque signed off for "The Royal Bank of the Xenos" now do you?

To me there are a few group of pirates.

• The Scurvy Dogs - In my opinion, these players fly the correct gear, RP like a maniac and pirate very well along the lines of RP and don't always demand cash, but cargo as well. To me, that is proper piracy, you steal what you need, and greed asks for more.
  
• The Highwaymen - This group is aimed at the ones who either sit at the well travelled routes, either as a lone wolf, for a group of like-minded individuals. They tend not to be too 'patriotic' in their faction's cause, and go for the wallet over the cargo, but there are exceptions.
  
• The boisterous bunch - These players are the ones you expect to find in a local bar or pub, loud mouthed, and not afraid to show it. In both noise and physicality. These people are the RP'ers, the ones I sorta like, piracy is also their game and its up to them for their taste for money or cargo. Its sort of up to the individual. I place the stamp of the Xenos as the stereotype here, there are others, I know that.
  
• The hooded thief - This is the person who sits at the routes, but stays silent and attacks their disrupted prey via private channels hoping not to scare off more prey. I place these as mainly players going for the wallet.
  

Didn't intend to make a list, but go figure. Don't take my list as a stamp for the stereotypes, its just something in my tired mind right now.

Anyway, back on track. What would you recommend to pretty much any unlawful pilot that has their eyes on making a living/gameplay in the world of piracy and how to to it with a hint of 'etiquette'?

There are many who go "2 mill or die!". This is a little wrong in my eyes, but its still piracy and I can't cry foul to it. What would you suggest for people who wish to pirate, and in a fun RP way?

Also, tips for a pirate in transports?
