Anyway so is scamming a bannable offence? Its been so long I don't intend to persue this matter any further but would like a conclusive answer anyway.

NO ... there's no rule about being scammed. There ARE pirates in this game ya know. Geez!
Why don't you just post a bounty on the guy ... now he's got a reputation for being a criminal (in ROLE PLAY).
