Neo Coalition ships

they look good - but they look a little "unreal" - as was pointed out before... slightly cartoonish. - the effect is caused by the high contrast of white and dark outlines. and the overall look as if they are made of plastic or rather thin and cheap metal.

they look like i think ships would look that were pimped up - but beneath the hull they d be rather cheaply manufactured. - that doesn t mean they don t look stylish - it just means that ... when compared to for example the titan or even the eagle, they look like they d fly like a leaf in a thunderstorm.

quality wise - they look as good as the current ones - very nice that is.

balance related:

ships that are much smaller are troublesome. - of course everyone wants small and agile ships, cause we all know that agility and size equals survivability. - ( more than armour does ) - the current design is large. - but they are also rather heavy. - for their size, they are fairly agile and pack a nice powercore.

ships that were smaller would need to downsize most stats. - the current designs look a bit like they could be the size of the viper - which is considerably smaller. but compared to Dooms viper mk2, they look much lighter, too. - even the VHF looks lighter than the viper.

what the coalition can not expect is to keep the current stats on their ships in the body of smaller and more agile ships. - and i think we might also abandon the idea of giving factions that face more opponents automaticly higher stats ( no, i m not saying that it has happened )

compared to the other designs of the coalition:

they go well with the gunboat ( storm ) - and not so well with the destroyer ( typhoon )


i do like the current ships more though - they are more unique and all in all - better looking. - even if their pvp stats are worse ( if they are ). personally, i d go more for the current ships, cause they re somewhat cooler... but then i don t need to fight in or against them....
