Currently we are roleplaying in a universe that apparantly has no important stories or notable people before the year 800AS, apart from the major timeline events.
I think we should change that.

Consider this. If you took the Star Wars universe and simply made a timeline of events before the Rise of the Empire, it would make the entire thing seem a bit..shallow.
It's the sheer volume of stories and history that can be found that makes Star Wars such an engrossing thing for many, just look at Wookiepedia.

So, I figured this. We start filling in the gaps of Sirius history. IE, we start putting things into the history, just like what happened with Star Wars.
Old small pirate raiding gangs, small scale corporations that caused scandal, expansion of territory and trouble within the houses, the first clashes of the Outcast and Corsairs (Documented nowhere currently, I mean, when did they meet again and when did the first shots fire?) etc etc.

All these things and much more are lacking in Discovery history and Freelancer history. So I say we put them in.

I came up with this for a small gang of pirates in Rheinland, in some time in the history of the house.

Rheinharld's Raiders

A small group of 5 to 10 men, this group gained local noteriety in the ______ system.
They were known for their lightning quick raids on supply convoys to station construction sites and other places.
Using outdated civilian craft that favoured speed over anything else, they attacked swiftly and took what they want before speeding off again.
With the expansion of the Houses still going on and the various colonisation projects in progress, security was not at all as widespread as it is in present days. The Raiders encountered relatively few Police or Naval patrols.
While the corporations demanded action be taken to clamp down on this local group, the authorities were more concerned with their fledging empire.
No one ever found where the group were basing their attacks from but there were rumours of that an old prospecting station in one of the ______ fields was their homebase.
The origins of the group were never officially confirmed but it is thought that Rheinharld was recently laid off at work in a mining station in New Berlin, as the fields started to dry up. Having the choice of hardship and perhaps poverty, he instead set off with a group of like minded individuals and began to raid convoys, seeing it as taking something for nothing.

While the group enjoyed a few years of uncontested raiding, things soon started to change.
Firstly, the authorities were extending their influence in the system and going further to ensure the safety of trade convoys.
Secondly, several stations and other bases had been constructed in the system and soon the supply convoys started to include fighter escorts, something that was not possible as the fighters had nowhere to dock and not enough supplies themselves to last a long stay in space. The newly built stations allowed resupply and several new designs of fighters had far more cargo space to carry supplies.
Thirdly, the occurance that led to the Raiders' downfall.
A full raid, all of the group included in it, was launched against a seemingly normal supply convoy. When the group arrived and commenced their attack, there were some noticeable differences with this convoy and a normal trade convoy. Not only were there more escorts and better defences on the convoy ships but there was a particularly armoured vessel within the convoy too.
Onboard this vessel was the Commander of the Naval forces for the entirety of the system, Johann Sprinzer. Newly assigned to this post and relishing any oppurtunity to flex his new power. All that was needed was a target.
The Raiders provided it.

After destroying a single transport vessel and collecting some of the now spacebound goods with various claws on their fighters, the Raiders found they were suffering too many casualties. They began to worry after one man was shot down but after they lost 4 men they agreed to call off the attack. Speeding away from the convoy, Johann Sprinzer ordered that the escorts pursue them whilst he called for immediate support from his own Naval forces elsewhere in the system.

The Raiders were in dissaray and being shot at constantly. They lost another man during the chase, which only served to fuel the general rout that was taking place. While the Raiders were known for their lightning quick attacks, the only one ammong them with any greater intelligence was their leader, Rheinharld. While he told the men not to return to their homebase immediately, they did not listen. In the general panic, most of the men fled back to their base and so led the escorts straight to them and allowed them to give off the postion of the base to the enroute Naval forces. Only a few of the Raiders managed to slip off undetected.

The escorts attacked the base but found that their weapons were too weak. Instead they simply patrolled the base, ensuring the Raiders onboard couldn't escape.
What happened when the Naval forces arrived could merely be described as slaughter.

Four wings of heavy fighters arrived, sporting the newest in hull breaching technology. After taking stock of the situation, the head Captain of the force ordered the immediate destruction of the base and termination of any stragglers, there would be no prisoners.

With the Captain's orders, the force directed their armaments towards the station and proceeded to rip it to pieces. With atmosphere venting all over the old station, soon the power core of the station became vulnerable to fire. A lucky shot by one of the Naval pilots penetrated the weak shielding on the core and it erupted in a dramatic lightshow of unbound energy. Anyone within the station was instantly atomised by the nuclear explosion.

The base destroyed, the forces assumed total destruction of the Raiders and returned to base, victorious.

The fate of the left over Raiders, including Rheinharld himself, is unknown. It is assumed that they lived out their last few hours in their fighters, their life support eventually failing them.
