From a safe distance away from the battle, Eric McGillian observed the battle like he would observe his pawns in a chess match. He wondered why it was a Corsair fleet that was saving Ms. Kyan and not any IMG ships.
His sensors were temporarily blinded as the Heavy Mortar from the Corsair Osiris impacted the Sarissa in a beautiful blue glow. If his shield had been down at the time, the gamma radiation from that blast would have probably melted his eyes.
Suddenly, a Corsair wing passed over his head from a dangerous distance. They were heading towards the battle. McGillians radio crackled into life with a man with a heavy hispanic accent.
'You can join the fight anytime you want...' He said sarcastically.
McGillian sighed and fired up his engines. 'This is going to be a long day...'
