Kaylee picked up her datapad from the conference table, retrieved a communications transponder from one of her officers, and slid it across to Admiral Porter.
"Word has been received from our High Command that they will take the negotiations from here. It was a pleasure meeting you, Ms. Porter, but I cannot proceed with negotiations any further. Order High Command members will be able to continue this discussion via that transponder, perhaps it would be best to take it back to your superiors so that those with the proper authority can discuss the terms of a treaty. I need to get back to my ship, apologies for the behavior of the Zoners today, and I hope they didnt damage the Thunderbay too heavily."
Kaylee left the room with her officers and guards trailing behind, bumping into John Bess on the way out, "Mr. Bess, your attitude is unfitting for a Zoner, I suggest you shape up. Your people are known for political savvy, and it is quite apparent you have none."
