Endurance - Yuki Ayaka

After her brief stint at Matsue, and the cruelly-blind journey here, Yuki had arrived once more on terra-firma. The knowledge that she was not going to die in the vacuum of space came as a sweet moment of relief. She heard the dull clatter of the guards as they rose and told her to stand. Then, standing her up, prompted her to shuffle forward. The bay door unfolded with an awfully over-amplified crunching, hissing and whirring.

Yuki felt the cool rush of natural air, filled with the fragrant scents of earth and greenery as the sunlight warmed her hands. Hooded as she was: her other senses would have to shape her environment.
