In short, the scenario is the following: The Neo Terran Front forces are trapped in Hudson. With resources dwindling and no way out in sight, they need to make a break to the least hostile territory they know, namely the Borderworlds between Liberty and Bretonia. Using the ongoing hostilities between the Rheinland Military and Liberty Navy as cover, they decide to make a blockade run towards that area through Texas, to California, and from there to Magellan.
By sheer coincidence, a Hellfire Legion strikeforce launches a surprise assault against the Liberty Navy forces in California at the same time.
How it would play out: ]NTF[ start their run in Hudson and get noticed as they make the jump to Texas via the gate. The [LN] defense forces respond to that and try to intercept them as they make for the California jumphole.
At the same time, the [HF] forces make their move on the [LN] operating in California near Cali Minor, and their fighting starts.
As soon as the ]NTF[ forces get clear of the Asteroid field surrounding the jumphole and want to head off for the Magellan gate, they notice a problem, namely the [HF] vs. [LN] fight blocking their way. (By sheer coincidence, hurr hurr.)
The [HF] and [LN] in California get surprised, and a bunch of RP happens that leads to the ]NTF[ and [HF] joining forces due to an entire fullsize [LN] strikegroup coming after the ]NTF[, which could appear any second. Too much for the ]NTF[ or the [HF] to handle alone with the remaining [LN] left in California.
A temporary alliance is formed, and the [LN] who're after the ]NTF[ arrive. The main big-ass fight breaks out, and ideally the [HF] and some diverted ]NTF[ forces (With the majority of the fighters still escorting the NTBS Cassus Belli as it breaks for the Cortez hole) would be able to wipe out the [LN] strikeforce
Once that is done, the rest of the RP between the [HF] and ]NTF[ occurs as the respective men in charge present see fit.
