Imagine, for example, a Samura Big Dragon transport that frequents Hokkaido. On one trip the Captain has chosen to/is contracted to transport gate lane components to the Chugoku Jumpgate. On entering the Unyo cloud, following the waypoint buoys, it is flagged down by a patrol of KNF ships.

They instruct the Captain to hold on his position due to an intense assault underway against the Battleship Matsumoto and the Gate Construction site by Blood Dragons. The Captain, none-the-wiser, complies. After a few moments the patrol leader becomes more concerned and asks the Big Dragon transport to delve deeper into the Unyo cloud, to use its obscuring qualities to defeat the Blood Dragons scanners. The Blood Dragons are retreating, the patrol leader says, and may choose any vulnerable target to vent their rage upon.

The Samura Captain detects a gravitational anomaly within the cloud. A jumphole. It does not appear on the company navigational charts. Unbeknownst to him, it is the route to Tohoku. The patrol leader is abruptly calm and requests the Samura vessel enter the jumphole. The Samura Captain, for whom it has dawned that something is wrong, attempts to contact the Matsumoto but the combined effects of the Kyofu, the Unyo Cloud and a localised jamming field raised by the KNF patrol render the Big Dragon's communications ineffective.

In anger, the Samura Captain activates his cruise engines and, in a ponderous arch, the Big Dragon turns towards the Matsumoto. In moments his cruise engines are disrupted, his shields are voided and his hull takes a pounding. Begging forgiveness for his actions, and desperately trying to understand his situation, the Samura Captain asks what he must do. The patrol leader repeats his earlier command. The Big Dragon transport must enter Tohoku. Cowed by the patrol leader, the Samura Captain complies and is guided to Heaven's Gate.

Some time later, the Samura transport arrives at the Chugoku Jumpgate Construction Site and delivers its cargo. It melts into the traffic like just another trader doing the same old routes. It passes through Liberty, through Rheinland supplying those sympathetic to the cause and those who are the cause.
