What do YOU think of these new bomber weapons?

After a bit of sampling in 3 different bombers (got into a fight with my BH and Roc ones too) I have to say that energy management is the key to victory. Also aim. I make a difference between SNAC aim and regular guns. It's the regular gun like aim that I need to sharpen.


I like the BH bomber better (as well as Thor). With 3xEMP + 2xCannon you are not losing as much as with with 2xEMP, 2xCannon combo. With the 3xEMP+2xCannon the weapon groups are much more meaningful and you can down the shields quite comfortably even of the bigger targets. Where as if you are in 2x and 2x craft you wish for the extra EMP even when fighting fighters or other bombers. And if you turn on all guns it's a waste of energy leaving me dry for SNAC time.

So all the bombers with 5 gun slots (be they turrets or guns) are IMO in much more better position than the 4 gun ones. In those 5 forward slotters the gun groups make sense, while in 4 forward slotters it's questionable to go with a mixed loadout.

Is anyone flying full Cannon loadouts? I see the energy drain is less per second but it ain't that bad in shield busting capability. And it's a viable way too since a lot of people use SNAC for shield work too with bigger targets. At some spots where you are under fire taking a SNAC potshot at the target is very viable strategy.

That's my observation so far. But the key is the aim of course.

And thank the devs for making the turret speeds match the main guns. Otherwise it would have been pretty useless with these weapon speeds.
