I don't think any of our members ever really hated you. We worked hard to re-build the BHG ID as something other than....well, what it looked like it was becoming again - the PvP faction of choice - which is a thin line to walk, considering our job is to kill pirates. So we may have come across as very determined to impose discipline on non members. But such is our right and our duty as the official faction representing the NPC faction that is the Guild and the Core. Having said that, we are probably the most easygoing of all factions when it comes to ships, ranks etc.- until someone does something to mess things up for others, our own reputation included. To be honest, I think people were remarkably lenient in dealing with the Apocalypse group, considering how things went in the past.

Personally I always thought Kurtz would most likely have been former Liberty Navy than Bounty Hunters Guild Core, but that's just me.

Maybe a different film would have been more appropriate? I'm thinking....



Incidentally, one of the Krays can't count. ( I forget which one - the Geb carrier I think) He was complaining in game about how it took 10 of us, and then 12, to kill him and two of his buddies. And some of them think it's against server rules to attack someone within farting distance of Freeport 11. Funny how the rules get invoked when people lose, and rarely when people win. In fact, it was a fighter, three bombers, a gunship versus a Carrier, an Osiris, and a bomber. Probably felt like 10 though.

That was the kind of thing that caused problems. Constant ooc talk completely ruins the game for most people. And the accusations of rule-breaking, when, in fact, the only sanctions ever landed were landed on your group. And I know you probably think you were set up. But here's the awful truth: we do not use sanctions against other players. We don't need to. We have enough committed members to ensure that our play wins battles for us.

Discovery is a tough place to make your mark. A fleet of big ships creates disquiet because there is a large bias towards small ships among the established community - ie those people who learn that smaller ships appear less crass, survive longer, and for a BHG ID'd player, are practically a pre requisite unless you want people thinking you a obnoxious ignoramus by default.

Such is the shameful (and well-deserved, it must be said) stigma that comes with the BHG ID. Check the kind of things that happened before (use Search and you'll see what I mean).
