Would be really nice with a class of ships between the Gunboats and Cruisers, as the gap right now is immense. Not even the largest gunboat with a maxed armor has any real chance against the smalles cruiser with bad armor upg. Maby with massive luck one can win, but nevertheless i think a ship line in between would be good.

Agility between an Rheinland GB and a Corvo Cruiser.



Armor - 180000
Turrets - 8 transport class 7 turrets and 4 cruiser turrets
Nanos/Batteries - 450/450
Additional - CM/Thruster
Power plant - 800000
Power regen - 85000/s
Shield - Class 8 Freighter (Gunboat)


Or slightly heavier version (if one should do a new class, every ship would of course differ, here are just 2 examples)


Armor - 200000
Turrets - 6 transport class 7 turrets and 6 cruiser turrets
Nanos/Batteries - 500/500
Additional - CM/Thruster
Power plant - 900000
Power regen - 95000/s
Shield - Class 8 Freighter (Gunboats)


With a power plant of less than a million prevents it from firing Heavy Cruiser Weaponry (light mortar, missiles). And with the majority of the other guns beeing Transport ones has to do with the nesecarity of not having them gunboat ones, as it would result in massive GB missile use. So the sollution instead of having like 4 gunboat ones is to have more transport turrets.

As for rules and such it should go under light Cruiser, no piracy. Mostly War vessle, or anti pirate GB vessle.


I can truly see a ship like this kick a gunboats ass while still beeing in grave danger of good GB captains, And i can see it loose strongly even against the smaller cruisers, unless it has a really good commander and huge ammounts of luck. (right between the classes so to speak)
