Forum cleaning, Wiki changes, and Discovery Issue 14/4.86 development

I'm thinking that Igiss would have to set permissions for us to be able to post in the news thread/forum.

I did that now, sorry for not noticing earlier... I thought that no one's willing to post there:)

Also what dates are going to be removed? I saw the 2005-2007 comment up above. Is that the range that posts will be deleted in?

I believe the moderators will refer to feedback (including this thread) to define topic importance of different forums/threads and what are the "cutoff" dates. Manual topic removal is a lengthy task, even with super admin tools that allow to select multiple threads at once. And you cannot expect that, if there will be a few valuable threads hidden within tons of Flood, we won't be able to save those.

I do have a question: If posts and threads and such are deleted...what happens to people's post-counts?

Post counts won't change unless we recount them (and recounting with our number of users is a huge pain, so I'll hardly do that). Board totals (total number of posts, threads, etc) can be reduced though.
