Primary goal of an escort ship is to make sure the trader escapes, not to kill the attacker.

Indeed, which is the precise reason I was thinking of LFs as a neat choice for escort duty as my very first choice. What I didn't know is that pulse weapons will kill his energy once the shields are down! I always thought that once the shields are down, the pulses are virtually "useless". I stand corrected! Big time too...

Thank you for THAT information.:)I'm giving the light fighter a new run for the money. Hopefully my other computer will be back from the shop within the week, and with some more fps I should increase in efficiency.
