'Hmmm... incresed activity on the SA channels, mostly encoded..." A man in his mid-fortys leaned over a small device in the Cargo Hold of a Large Train. "A couple Navy-wide transmissions... Ha, I decoded that one years ago... What's this? A highly encoded transmission... another one... lots of them..." The Informant plugs a Comm Unit into the device. "Ok... got it. Woah... that's just scary. Some navy officer ended up in a meat container? I don't think I'll be eating any steak any time soon. And a First Mate was found... oh, that's just wrong. I guess Denelo will want to hear about these..."
The Informant transmits the interceped messages to parts unknown...


America Base, Vespucci System.

Major Denelo Mori of the Hellfire Legion leans over his Comm Unit.
"Sir, one of my informants has sent me some information regarding the South Allience's movements. It's a bit... disturbing. Transmitting now."

Over the Comm unit come a voice: "This is Executive Commander Mark Kaine of the Hellfire Legion, to Major Denelo. Good job, I've been wondering about the South Allience's movements lately. You are hereby promoted to Captain, due to your excellant information gathering and informing."

"Thank you sir."

The Comm channel closes.

Rochester Base, New York System.

The Informant thanks the Junker Merchant and sets up the powerful (but not entirely legal) decoding device in the hold of his CSV. "This should do it... reprogram to auto-transmit to my train... ok." He locks the CSV and leaves it in Rochester, taking a shuttle back to Planet Manhattan, boarding his train, and heading to Kusari Space...
