With tonight's WeeklyScience, the next dose of knowledge and news has arrived to you, my dear readers. Let's not waste words more, here you are, mes amis.
Thieves The investigation on board Le Grande Stockage Fromage has lead to a small group of workers joining our Division under false names. Their movement and actions were possible to be traced down as far as to a shipment going to Planet Toulouse, but then the investigation team lost track of them on the surface. Data describing our thieves will be sent across the station. However the investigation will most probably continue on Toulouse, there is still a chance for an attempt of return on their side, so if anybody meets personnel matching our moles by the data in our central database, do not hesitate to notify the security.
Moving laboratories The final tests on the CLSV Curie has shown that the forward gun is inoperable, which isn't much of a problem, we wouldn't have used it any ways. Instead, a mining gun will be mounted on that slot. The hull reinforcing is yet to be made, and is delayed due to lack of proper resources. The Division Lead plans to assign both of our science vessels on a joint task. To where they will fly is yet to be decided as well, but there is time to do so as there is still much work on the CLSV Curie. The CLSV Marignac may conduct minor local researches in the meantime.
Tissue issues While we do not lack samples, on the contrary, we have more of those K'Hara skins, we are still slowing down on their research. Phisical and chemical analysis helped us to map the different layers properly, and with the help of a complete skin part, we were able to map it in it's entire width. Unfortunately we found nothing odd or illogical, the outer carapace is dense and hard, going towards the inner part the tissues soften, midway lies the part of the circulatory system being responsible for feeding the skin. Several semi-transparent layers, which let the light through themselves. If we won't find answers here, we may ask the brains then.
Complexity Categorizing all of the brains have finished recently, in fact, this afternoon. Most of the brains could be sorted into the predefined categories, however about 10-15% of the samples (roughly 30) deviated from those as much as it deemed to be neccessary to sort them separate from the others. Currently they are vegetating, but starting from tomorrow, during a series of experiments we will test their activity and reaction to several kinds of inputs. Physical, chemical and biological tests and mapping will be done as well in order to aknowledge everything about them.
So long we are about to reveal the secrets of the Slomon K'Hara, yet this species, even in this inactive state of the samples, is still not wanting to let us to do so. However, as long as we are in control, this is only a matter of time. Au revoir for now, mes amis.
