Discovery-added Rumors on Non-GMG bases in Okinawa. Guess what orange means...

Isehara Terraforming Outpost
(Kishiro) I heard from a friend of mine who works as a guard down in the mines that the labourers are being tortured and starved. Rations are cut as a matter of course, especially if quotas aren't met, and an overseer reportedly snapped off two of a man's fingers after he complained about his blistered hands.

(Kishiro) Here at Isehara we handle the conflux of goods from outside Okinawa space. Collating and registering all the merchandise that passes through our hands here is a constant job, and we work around the clock. Fortunately, we're paid well for it; Isehara is one of Kishiro's foremost concerns.

(GMG/Kishiro) Kishiro's struck pure gold here in Okinawa; they might as well be mining credits planetside, because that's what we're seeing more and more of every day. We're turning profits that would make your jaw drop, everyone wants to buy from us, but especially Interspace Commerce. My grandfather always said the Libertonians would do anything to make some money quickly.

(GMG/Kishiro) Between you and me? The average Bretonian knows the war against Kusari's lost. Many of our top advisors here are former Planetform employees, there's not much profit to be made in Bretonia these days, despite the Gaians' degradation to simple pirates, and many of Cambridge's best scientists are increasingly turning to Kishiro and the Gas Miners Guild for work. Kishiro disagrees with the war and is happy to hire the Bretonians, but the Guild encounters difficulty from its Kusari employees.

(Kishiro) Kishiro's mere presence in Okinawa is a massive affront to Samura. Once treated as the smaller of the two Kusari kereitsu, Kishiro's moving in on all the economic sectors Samura once monopolized. This goes beyond mere corporate squabbling, Samura's decidedly dirtier than that; they have a finger in every political pie in Kusari, and are rumoured to be sending their agents, the Hogosha, against us to halt our progress here.

(GMG) A Hogosha agent succeeded in penetrating our defensive perimeter two weeks ago and sabotaged weather satellites #17 and #18 before being destroyed. That little shenanigan cost us thousands of credits in repairs and tens of thousands in lost revenue, as Miura can hardly be terraformed without proper sensory equipment.

Furyoku Station
(Interspace) Adam Sensicle basically runs just about everything that comes through Okinawa. He has his hand in so much dirt he's gonna end up dead one of these days. That or running off to the Chrysanthemums for protection when the Naval Forces finally catches up to him.

(Interspace) Damn the Hogosha! They might be legally tolerated by the authorities in Kusari, but Okinawa is still a frontier system in most respects, and the police and military are busy with the war in the Tau systems. We seem to get a raid every week or so now on this base, and I heard that one of Fujisawa's gas miners was destroyed recently after the Hogosha broke through the GMG's defensive perimeter. Furyoku's manager contacted the Golden Chrysanthemums recently in order to request their aid in clamping down on the Hogosha issue, but it appears they and the blood Dragons have their own problems of late. Something to do with a system called Tohoku, I heard.

(Interspace) Interspace takes a 5 percent cut in the H-Fuel profits within this system, although sometimes the GMG lets us take our cut in H-Fuel itself, rather than credits. We usually store it here until it can be shipped to Liberty, where we sell it for more to the Liberty Navy. Hey, we've all got to make a living, right?

(Interspace) The Golden Chrysanthemums occasionally dock here for supplies, just as they do at Roppongi Station in the New Tokyo system. However, there is less risk for them out here as there are no police or navy patrols in the entire system. It is a shame really, because the Hogosha wouldn't be nearly so audacious with the navy around to keep an eye on them. Either way, the GC girls are friendly enough, and always eager for stories and news from beyond Kusari.

(Interspace) The gas miners who work out on Furyoku are decent sorts overall. Definitely not like most of the Kusari we get in here. They're definitely a lot more liberal in their thinking, and some of their managers are even female. I've made a few good friends here, and I'm thinking about moving to Kusari maybe.

(Interspace) There's some real strange stuff going on around here lately. A lot of transports have reported seeing ships with unknown transponders and anomalous energy signatures following some of the GC patrols lately. They aren't Outcast and they aren't Dragons. And that's aside from the recent rash of other 'anomalies' that have been popping up. Lots of mysterious lights and random sensor pings. Something's going on out there, thats for sure. (About Consortium)

(Golden Chrysanthemums) Interspace Commerce has moved to the Okinawa system to ensure the stability of Kishiro's operation in the area. It's a big, long-term investment. Though, the really important part for me is that they have brought Golden Chrysanthemums along too. That's how I ended up here, after all. What's my purpose on board? I mediate between the Interspace Commerce executives and my sisters on Battleship Matsuda. It helps to coordinate attacks on specific targets, inflicting the maximum possible damage on any attempts that Samura makes in its bid to expand into Okinawa. Interspace lets me know what should I be aware of and I share this information with my superior on Battleship Matsuda. She then organises an assault wing, which then intercepts the target. So far this strategy has kept Samura's hands away, but the Hogosha are starting to become more irritating as of late.
