I think RP is declining because of, I'm sorry to say, people like me. I stop a trader, and I don't even get to spout a second chat line before I get killed by a silent Liberty gunship-and-fighter swarm. I don't have time to RP, because PvP is being shoved so far down my throat.

I suck at PvP. I don't like to PvP.

But it seems like it's either do nothing and don't RP, or actually (god forbid) INTERACT with another player and have PvP forced upon me.
