Might I make a suggestion?

Going through the re-repping process just to get the affiliation to get an ID is going to be a pain in the ass for the players. What about creating a temporary "Buy-All" ID that an admin can briefly give to a player with an SRP so they can buy 'any' ship without any change to rep, and then give it back to the admin in exchange for their original ID after the ship is purchased? It would cause less grief and would allow the admins to take a more one-on-one approach with such SRP requests. More work, but that's the byproduct of trying to force this ID thing to begin with, since SRPs and non-standard ships will still exist no matter what.
