Cons:

Controlled ship buying, Very annoying. Things like Fly fighter 2 weeks, Buy bomber, Fly for 2 weeks, Buy Gunboat. It disallows you to fly the ship your best at.

Unlawfuls being automatically attracted to you.

Pros:

Faction Events (indies are sometimes also allowed in)
Free Escorts
