Issue #5 Impounded

I like the beach, it gets boring in that captains chair day after day. Nothing sheds those space blues like some frilly drinks and some salty waves, and Kusari has been quite accommodating to this old bird. Some of the locals have an atrocious accent that I can barley understand but I managed a good room close to the water. My 20 day vacation has only run a total of 4 days before the boss calls with bad news...

So, you see, the news van was a modified Liberty Gun Boat. It had good space for all the equipment and we got it cheap. It was parked on Cambridge when I left and after 2 days an officer came by to check out all the vessels in the lot. All the guns had been disconnected and were completely dead but he read our Neutral ID and had it ceased. Now we cant get it back for a month, even if we had the money. So I reluctantly picked up my things and flew my personal ship back to the Freeport office in Magellan. The office looked deserted with month old notes scattered over desktops, it seemed a metaphor for the success of the news room. I thought STARFOX would dwindle for sure but then a glimmer of hope...

A perky young women opens the door peering in, "Hello...... Is...... Is anyone here.."
Carol: Hi, I'm uh... I herd about an internship here. Is this StarFox?
Tracy: Yeah, well um, you kinda got me at a bad time...
Carol: My uncle just gave me a transport and I...... Was hoping I could fix it up and I need some credits soooooo... You had this add in the paper......
DING! Off goes the light bulb....
Tracy: Ok you just uh... Here take these forms and go to New London. Then go to the licensing office and get these permits and a neutral ID. Come back with those and your internship is over!
Carol: Wow, cool lady thanks...
Tracy: Just go... go go go go......

I cant wait for the next issue, hopefully I wont have to write it..
