With half a hand in the jar, he took strides superluminal through the rings of his memory.
Betwixt Primus and Leeds, Bautzen and Aamori.

[color=#CC9933]With half a hand in the jar, betrayed cruelly by emotions long derelict, he was.
Clutches of leering love, longing, and loss.

With half a hand in the jar, he thought of poems.
Of beauty and flawless rhyme.

With half a hand in the jar, he felt Old Dusty Hegemon shudder.
He adjusted the rudder.

With half a hand in the jar, he inspected a guage.
The ship was still a cage.

With half a hand in the jar, he thought of prospects.
Precious minerals and ore.

With half a hand in the jar, he missed the starlight that off his specs so often reflects.
In the shadow of the 'roid he dreamt away the bore.

With half a hand in the jar, he dreamt of a time in Kusari.
A movie, some sushi, and something called Katamari.

With half a hand in the jar, he heard a dissapointed 'beyoop.'
The asteroid was nothing but gloop.

With an empty jar left behind, in search of new fields he saught.
Fields of rock and glory.
