This is just a quick report on something... interesting... that I and my small crew witnessed today.

We took off from New Tokyo and were immediately confronted by an Interspace Neuralnet Department ship pulled over by a naval officer, Kumiko.Arishima.



Keeping silent for the moment, I guaged the situation as it unfolded before my eyes. I was silently startled at what happened. Here is a log of the conversation between myself, Kumiko and The Grey Fox. I have omitted irrelevant comm traffic from the log.



Note, my concern here is not the IND vessel. It was 'let off the hook' by authority acting in the name of the Emperor (that is, all personnel of the Kusari Naval Forces and Kusari State Police). My concern here is the little matter of internal security and bribery that is what I saw before my eyes, or rather, whether this particular officer was acting in the best interests of the Emperor that she has been empowered by.

I thought it best not to intervene to see what actions the pilot, Kumiko, would take. I did not stop to think that she would let the IND container transport go without even confiscating the contents of its cargo hold.

This transmission will be copied to the Council of the Rising Suns for deliberation on action, if any, to be taken. The purpose of the report being in the Kusari Naval Forces action report dump is to show that we do take internal security seriously, and that investigations will happen if any pilot is seen to be acting in a less than honourable way.
