The Buccaneers Bay

John had been mooching in the corner, and was playing an sort of extended (if one sided) game of table tennis with Boris. He'd bounce a peanut towards him, and it would very decidedly fail to return. People running in shouting was such a common occurrence in that particular corner of the galaxy, that he didn't pay it much heed any more. "You slept with my wife!" "Your wife slept with me!" "Boris ate my socks!" "Corsairs ate my leg!" It didn't help that your average Buccaneer was about as trustworthy and truthful as a tiger was efficient at piloting a fighter made of cheese.

His ears did prick up at the mention of his co-Lieutenant. Looks like he'd got lost again. He was always out causing bloody trouble in foreign fields. First that business with the Corsairs in Gamma, now this business with the Corsairs but in... Alpha? He was a Corsair magnet either way. It'd probably be a good idea if someone went looking for him.

He lobbed one last salted nut at the sprawling bulk of Boris, then stood, stretching and cracking his knees in the process. It was time to be going. After he'd left, Boris realised there wasn't going to be any more nuts coming his way, so he waddled over to the table and took the bag King had foolishly left there. That done he made his way back to Morris' seat at the door.
