I admit that I was so shocked, angered, and incensed after you first pirated my transport that my thumbs went numb. I could barely think clearly.
True story.

Maybe I have high blood pressure or something.
Runs in the family.


You pirated me, yes.
As far as I thought, you were outside of roleplay at the moment. Oh, the temptation to start rule lawyering you, so I could keep that shiny thirty million you were demanding. I'd never do something like that, but... that's a goodly amount of money. Indeed it is... oh, the temptation. The love of money is the root of all evil, and even I was tempted to drop roleplay and tell you that you weren't allowed to pirate because you were miners.

But.

Through some miracle, perhaps hidden character I didn't know I had, or from a message that wasn't sent because I put an ellipsis at the front, I didn't drop roleplay.
I kept roleplay, grudgingly with you guys. I lost two thousand cargo 2k from Narita.
That must have been the easiest run you guys ever made, haha.
I didn't rule lawyer.

And, toward the end of our encounter, on the offchance, I read the ID.
I was more angry at the fact that I hadn't seen the changes.
But, I suppose that had been my fault.



You pirated me.
I docked quietly at Narita with half my load left.
I noted my surprise on the Skype DSE chat. I mentioned that I wouldn't be fit for rational thought for a while, and I then turned my computer off and did Calculus homework for two hours. I got my heartrate back to normal, I could feel my hands again.


Later, I came back.
And everything ended up really cool. Thank you for that, Dusty.



But, before the happily ever after...
I was incredibly mad at you.

Then I realized that I actually should have been mad at myself.







I learned some rather valuable lessons that day.
Yes, I can still learn. And I'm not above saying that I was livid. I can feel emotion, and it can get out of control. Fancy that. I'm a human, and I'm certainly more flawed than some people here.



Lesson one?
Never drop roleplay. Never rule lawyer.
Play along unless it's blatantly out of roleplay. Roleplay changes, it's dynamic. It doesn't fit in a neat little box. Otherwise it wouldn't be fun.

So what if that Freelancer is pirating you? He can't by ID.
Is it within roleplay? So, play along with it, don't rule lawyer. Inform him via private later, maybe you'll get your money back, while keeping decent roleplay between you two.



Lesson two?
If you get mad, for the sake of everything that is holy, don't feel above leaving the computer entirely. Go eat something. Douse your head in water. Pet a cat. Go for a walk.
Cool off.
You won't get sanctioned that way. And I may or may not have been close to a sanction at this point in time, silly stupid flaming fool I am.


Lesson three?
Watch your step.
Admins can be everywhere, even those "OoRP" pirates that are stealing your money as fast as bad guys in Sonic the Hedgehog.

Heh.



Oh. And the best part?
You, Dusty, after skinning me alive, came into the DSE chat, and started talking about why you beat my transport, and what I should do, and how I could do better next time. I actually learned a ton from that, and I'm ever grateful for it. There were no hard feelings. By then, I'd accepted the fact that I'd gotten my hindquarters handed to me on a plate by your behemoths. I was incredibly grateful for the advice you gave me on transport loadouts.

My transport is loaded out as you suggested, but I sadly didn't involve myself in the OoRP stew of Tremont after this incident, and I didn't get to meet you again.



Well, except for when my mining ship retreated straight into you and got pirated by the very ship it was trying to avoid.
*chuckles*

I'm not sure why I'm writing this.
Maybe I just want something to do. Something to feel good about. Something to put my mind on, something to make. Maybe I just want to write something that might have some trappings of meaning so I can feel good about myself.

Just a ramble, maybe.

Maybe it's a warning.
Like I have so much wisdom to give to people.
Right...



I didn't even bother to re-edit this when I finished with it.
Behold my chaotic set of redundant sentences. This is what most of my posts look like on a really good day before I rewrite them.



Maybe I feel like I owe you an explanation. Because I do feel sorry for what you admins go through. I hope I've never added to that problem or been unpleasant to you guys, ever. Deepest and most sincere apologies if I have. Apologies if I was part of the crowd of asinine ore haulers.
