As she listened, she found his thinking most intriguing. She was mentally comforted knowing he had similar opinions of the ongoing conflict.
"I hope," she said, "that one day peace is restored. It is the wish of both husband and I."
She then had a look of perplexion. "Do not be sure that you would not fit the Zoner way," she commented, "I never thought I would have either. While father taught me faith in Buddha and not to hate, I work for Gas Miners Guild for a few years, watching Corsair and Outcast kill our people. I knew it was not life for me. I met John when he was trading to build his medical empire. In one trip to what is now our home, I knew his life was my life. While I fly home sometimes, I leave most of what was behind."
She then leaned forward, "I leave it by choice and I not regret it."
She leaned back, "You say you explore. Well, that is what many Zoners do. I think you would fit."
She then looked at him. With a quick smile she added, "you very young. I am not yet mother but I would dare say as one would that someone so young not know what he really wants yet."
She then snickered and smiled again, "yes, I do enjoy meeting people. I have not asked you to leave yet have I? I find you pleasant to talk to."
Still smiling, she took a bite of her sushi.
