What about the Gaians? and populating that part of sirius (please read)

I think the Gaians suffer because of the war. Trade is difficult now through there except for smugglers. Most of them cut through Baffin and miss Bretonia all together. A few jump straight into Newcastle again missing most of Bretonia and staying mostly off the beaten track. Mollys have very little for a similar reason.
If the Mollys' gold was illegal in the various systems, but earnt them BIG credits somewhere like Sigma 17, then things would become more interesting. Smugglers and escorts, police and military (but this isn't about the Mollys).
As I recall it, one of the better short trade routes was through California (Rogues), Magellan (Hackers) and Leeds(Mollys/Gaians/Buccaneers) and then back again. Many a pirate was able to line their pockets on that route.

If/when Gallia opens up and trade starts to flow down through Bretonia and into Sirius (not forgetting Kusari), the Gaians will get a lot more business, although the gaurd system position is a pain as it could be a potential cut through. Being a gaurd system, it will put off most people risking it.

The BAF have (had?) a huge military force and were generally able to meet any pirate threat so they can be easily entertained by Gaians. The Buccaneers operate in Bretonian waters and despite my own feelings that the Mollys allegiances are a little muddled, they have the potential for great fun when trade begins to flow.

Suck it and see regarding Galiia I suppose...
