What about the Gaians? and populating that part of sirius (please read)

I said this before (even recently somewhere) but I'll hop up & say it again:

There's a fundamental division within the faction between the stereotypical Corsair allied Neo-Gaian & the old school Grass Roots Gaian. This is because the Gaians became militant only 77 years ago & it's logical that many of the people that started the transition to ideological violence would still be alive today & hold some sway within Gaian society.

It's also logical that those original Gaians who have become enemys of the gov't & obviously no longer have the right to dock on any planet within its borders, would spend the rest of their lives living on Gaian stations. They would have produced offspring, & by now, would have produced offspring of their own. These 2nd & 3rd generation station natives, having never had the opportunity of enjoying legal Bretonian citizenship & having lived their entire lives outside the law on Gaian property, would be heavily indoctrinated with the old-school mentality they were raised with by their parents & elders...& they would not have any patriotic leanings to the crown whatsoever. & Why should they? The're natural born fugitives from the Law. They would have developed a unique culture of their own, isolated from the rest of Bretonian society. & that isolation would intensify their already extremist point of view.

Then, here come the pro Corsair Neo-Gaians that move into the stations & as time goes on, the Neo-Gaians begin to outnumber the natives & the fundamental differences between them would create an extremely deep sense of bitterness & loathing towards the neo-gaians as their larger numbers & piracy all but flushed the original Gaian ideals down the toilet in the eyes of the public.

So, now the war starts, & althogh Kusari has interests that work against the Gaians, during a time of war, they side with what they consider the lesser of 2 evils with the full intention of dealing with those conflicts when/if Kusari emerges as the victor. but under Kusari rule, they would be much better off than they are now, & ultimately, they know they will never stop fighting, only the eyeshape of their enemies would change.

As far as support from a segment of bretonian citizens, although the war would lessen that quite a bit, the Green Front are polititians & pundints that get regular media coverage & they lie their ass off for a living, so given human nature, there will be always be people that believe anything they hear without giving it any real critical thought just so long as the propagandist appears professional on camera & speaks with eloquence & authority.

Besides, unless/until Igiss mandates a change to the basic Gaian info, we have to all deal with what we got weither we can all agree on it or not.

One thing that strikes me as a bit odd though is that "change" of sides. Gaians were, at its core, pro-Bretonian, right? For a better, cleaner, terraforming-free Bretonia, right? If memory serves me right, they had a number of supporters throughout Bretonia (more specifically Cambridge), sympathetic to the Gaian cause. Well, with they actively supporting Kusari in the war, wouldn't this cause the Gaians to loose all of this support? Unless the "Neo-Gaians" outnumber the old school ones so much that it would have influence in such a decision that hardly seems like the wisest decision to take...
