This is Silekar Dravin, until recently a trader and smuggler hailing from the New York System. My parents were killed in an "accident" with the Liberty Navy when I was 15. After that, I worked the trade routes for Ageira. After being wrongfully convicted of smuggling, I spent three years as a prisoner on Houston. Since then, I took up freelance trade and smuggling.
Until recently, I thought that Ageira had forgotten all about me, but a few days ago I had a run-in with some bounty hunters sent by them and supported by Liberty police forces. Some Outcasts showed up before they could attempt to take me in, and in the chaos of the fight, I escaped. The next day I learned that my brother in the Pennsylvania system had been murdered by Liberty police forces who claimed he was a pirate while on a routine trade run en route to the Colorado System. My brother had never broken the law in his life, but they killed him anyway.
After I learned of my brother's death, I began looking into other suspicious deaths at the hands of Liberty's "peacekeeping" forces. I found far too many to ever feel comfortable around one of their ships again. Liberty is supposed to be a place of freedom and opportunity, but what freedom and opportunity can exist among the seas of cutthroat corporations and trigger-happy security forces? How can one feel secure knowing that a lawman might just shoot you in the back?
With everything I uncovered, I knew I had to do something, but I wasn't comfortable about contacting you given your reputation. A few hours ago though, things changed. I was just leaving Newark Station in my Civilian transport ship that cost me over a million credits in the California system when my ship started acting up. At first I wasn't too concerned, sometimes systems go a little crazy for no reason, but then navigation cut out. When it came back online, it set a course directly for planet Manhatten. I tried to cut power to the engines, but it didn't work. Luckily, the pilot ejection systems were still functional, and I managed to escape death. Investigation of the ship's computer (what was left of it) revealed sabotage. I have no doubt that Ageira was behind it.
I still have enough credits to purchase a kingfisher, and now I'm going out there to set things right. I want to join the Xeno Alliance and purge the infection that is Liberty.
Contact me via private comm channel, seeing as I don't intend to be staying at any one base for too long.

Said the pirate to the merchant: Your money or your life?
Merchant: What was the question?
Pirate: Pay or Die!
Merchant: That's not a question.
Pirate: Hand over 2 mil you corporate flunky, or be atomically disgronified!
Merchant: Sorry, I can't hear you, too busy docking.
Pirate: Wha... Dang it. *Turns to the new recruits* And that is why you shoot the trader who refuses to cut his engines. You just have to make sure you asked them to stop, and threatened them properly before you space them. Also, record your conversations in case the dead come back to complain. That's how it works here folks. Now go out and cut yourself a piece of the corporate pie!
