200 for 200

Lately ive been going through my old stock of screen shots for freelancer dating back to when i was here during 4.82's deployment. I came across certain screen shots of an event that took place on the discovery server to celebrate, if i remember correctly, 128 players on the server, resulting in a full server.

Everyone came to NY. Rheinlanders, Bretonians, Corsairs, Rheinlanders, Kusarians, Outcasts, Dragons, the lot. everyone brought their caps, or their smaller ships for one purpose. A screenshot (taken by Yuri and Dustin on their camera ships if i remember correctly), with every person on the server in the same system, standing next to each other, with a cyber grin on their faces.

I was thinking, now that the server is more stable, and we've got cannon to help maintain its stability, and the fact that we can have 200 people on the server at the same time, how about a scheduled event like the previous?

At a designated time, EVERYONE in freelancer brings one of their ships and parks it in NY space, next to each other (away from NPC spawns for obvious reasons, dont want random NPC deaths) for a one time screenshot with everyone in NY alongside each other.

there will be a few necessary precautions that will be needed to be taken.

1. everyone who comes in NY HAS to turn their guns off. if you have 200 people shooting their guns off, the server has to go into overdrive to send a message to all 200 players saying "hey, that mongy over there fired his shots, just so you know", and an overload of messages will cause the server to crash.

2. If its possible, the NPC spawns might need to be disabled to prevent people getting pwnt + to lower lag

3. perhaps turning off PVP in NY just for this event might be a good idea, i know PVP was turned off in NY in the past so it prolly can be done again.

4. a couple of admins would be needed ingame to make sure everything goes along smoothly as well, probably.

any feedback from both players/admins/cannon is appreciated, once i have enough go aheads ill see to setting the event up on a specific date.

we'll need around 2-3 camera ships. i volunteer one of them, since i still have mine.
