::Los Hermanos de la Muerto::
::Brothers of the Dead::
-Pirate/Rebel Faction-

<div align="right]About the [HM]

Fighting between the Outcast, the Corsair- once brothers in the great nation of Hispana, however time has forgotten. It had originated as a conflict between territories. Far out in remote systems no one had ever heard of. Eventually, the conflict had started to turn heads of both groups, and more and more resources were used to build warships that would be deployed for the Omicron War. However, the most unnerving “resource,” would be the gross amounts of people killed in the on-going conflict.

In 801 A.S., the resistance group called Los Hermanos de la Muerto, or Brothers of the Dead (a reference to the casualties in the Omicron War), staged multiple attacks on Corsair strongholds in the Borderworlds. However, these attacks were unsuccessful in doing any real damage, or causing any type of disturbance, it signaled the beginning of a resistance group to the Corsair Empire.

Los Hermanos had disappeared, only causing a couple issues for Corsairs and their Artifact trade. In 815A.S., Los Hermanos made a re-emergence with the bombing of Cadiz, a secret base of the Corsairs. It is important to remember that all, except for some children, were born Corsair. Though it is unknown how exactly the bomb was transported into the base, the Corsair Empire executed several families believed to be connected to the bombing. This only strengthened Los Hermanos support, who fought for reform of the Corsair Empire and an end to the war against the Outcast. Their slogan being, Justicia o Muerte (Justice or Death), they plan to reform the Empire by getting rid of the Council of Elders and establishing a Meritocracy.

La Caldera, or the Cauldron, is known as the area of the most intense fighting. It includes Omega-41, Omega-11, Omega-3, Omega-7, Omega-5. Tactics for Los Hermanos are usually guerilla-esque. They range from food convoy attacks, to attacks on patrols or even capital ships- never using more than fighters or bombers. Though fighting was not originally something Los Hermanos was good at, several military members have joined the cause because of their addictions to cardamine. These members, and several other corsair youth, had gotten addicted to synthetic drugs, but eventually found solace in the numbing effects of the drug. They joined Los Hermanos to persue a cheaper way to obtain the drug than the pricey methods Junkers and the Hispanians offered.

Although Martinez, El Padre de Los Hermanos, was not originally supportive because he thought that cardamine addicts could cast a negative light on the group, which was established for the good cause of stopping the war and pushing for reform. However, Martinez was forced to initiate these members into Los Hermanos because of the lack of man power, since the Corsair Empire vastly outnumbered them. Casualties were heavy in La Caldera, especially in La Puerta del Diablo (Devil's Gate – Omega-41) and reasonably high in La Fila del Diablo (Devil's Row – Rest of “the Cauldron”). Although fighting did occur elsewhere, the Cauldron is still the primary center for organized fighting and attacks between the two groups.

The Council of Elders did cast a negative light on the group however, calling them traitors instead of rebels. Some fell for what the council had said, but an equal number listened as Martinez used the addicts to argue how close we were to outcast, and how those effected by the drug could still have normal relations with their people. Though science did not confirm any of this, Los Hermanos continued to gain support, and those who wished to do cardamine did so willingly with no ill effects to the rest of the tribe. Once again the Council tried to spread rumors that the group was actually led by a lawful group, and Los Hermanos stepped up the brutality of their piracy. Other than smugglers, piracy is how Los Hermanos obtains most of its supplies. It's said to have a secret base on a planet somewhere, but no one is quite sure where.

<div align="right]Leadership and Roleplay

Cardemine is referred to as La Hija del Diablo, or The Devil's Daughter.

The ways of Los Hermanos is referred to as El Sendero Luminoso, or the Shining Path.

Recruits are called Las Almas Perdidas, or Lost Souls.

The Leadership is divided into 4 Levels: Leader (El Padre), Advisor to the Leader (El Hijo) and the members (Los Lobos).

Abuelo: The Grandfather is seldom seen, and is said to give advice to El Padre. He is a non combat character.

Padre: The Father is responsible for making the decisions for Los Hermanos, and to also draw in new members.

Hijo: The Son is responsible for advising El Padre about the activities of the group, and coordinating the group itself.

Lobos: Wolves are the general members of Los Hermanos and make up the majority. Also referred to as guerreros (warriors).

Holidays

El Dia de Hades:

Celebrated on February 1st in Sirius, by the Los Hermanos tribe, it is a day of remembrance of their kin who have died at the hands of Ares (or killed by the Corsairs). The holiday was erected to celebrate those who gave their lives for the tribe and for the cause. They pray to Hades to let the souls of their brothers cross the River Styx and visit them once again.

It is said that through ritual, the spirits of their friends dance around them. Elegant poems are presented while spectacular rituals are performed. Groups of fighters and bombers attempt to mimic these ritualistic dances by flying in specific patterns, while trying to beautify the process by firing into open space.

During this time, stations and quarters are decorated appropriately. Skulls and candles are adorned everywhere as the tribe celebrates death and it's special honor.

Unless drastic action is needed, there is no fighting on El Dia de Hades.
