You can race in Connecticut.

And by the way, I tried to do some race with friends but... Freelancer don't have real ships fitted to race. I mean, you just have to be first in the 5 first second, then you just have to fly normally, the people behind you can't beat your ship until using CD... Means they lost the cruise.

It's true that you can race with friends in connecticat but there is no way to check if somebody misses a gate. Some kind of server application that check if one or more racers misses a gate is something really needed to make gate races possible. I don't really know how hard would be to incorporate something like that in the mod. Waiting for modders opinion on the topic...

p.s. I did the Connecticat gate track many times with My Talon... there are many ship in Disco that can use the racetrack very easly.
