Discovery PTC has been operating for quite awhile, but I thought it was time I posted a quick blurb about it here.

Discovery PTC is a little different from the base Discovery servers, and we use the Discovery mod slightly differently than other servers. For Discovery PTC, "Relaxed RP" means relaxed environment and relaxed RP rules to allow everyone to play and have a good time.

While we abide by the general guidelines of the base Discovery mod, we do not immediately sanction members for accidental missteps. We are tolerant of mistakes, and only repeat or intentional offenders incur the wrath of our staff.

We also allow free travel (a feature most other servers do not), allowing you to explore the entire game within RP confines. We further do not limit weapon technology. It is perfectly rational and within RP that characters should be allowed to utilize commondeered or traded weapons (legal or otherwise), as would be the case in a real world scenario (again, most other servers do not allow this practice).

Relaxed RP DOES NOT mean, however, that we are throwing out the essence of RP, nor are we a PvP only server. There are actually several good PvP oriented servers available to the Freelancer community, and if you want minimal to no RP and a PvP only focus, we suggest you look into some of those.

Having said that, we certainly enjoy a good PvP bout in the proper context -- between willing participants in small or large encounters, in either RP engagements out in the general Sirius population, or in just plain and simple non-RP engagements in Connecticut or on larger scales on our Test Server.

Discovery PTC is a family oriented server. There are children as well as adults who just want to relax and play here. Profanity and inappropriate chat is not allowed in any channels.

Our goal is to be as drama-free as possible, and to that end Discovery PTC Server Rules will reflect these values.

Finally we also wanted a home for USA people to have a pure English only RP experience with fast paced, smooth combat with other low ping rate native English speaking players. Our server strictly enforces the English only mandate.
