Hooked up with Matt Tanner to run a short patrol through to Liberty. California was empty, but hacking into the comms arrays alerted us to the presence of two LSF vessels in Texas, making their way towards New York.

We decided to intercept, but were delayed by a cruiser patrol we encountered near Mojave. Fortunately it didn't prove much of a hindrance, and we were able to take out the two guardians escorting the cruiser and gunboats, before making our way to the New York jump gate.

We hacked the gate without difficulty, and as we jumped through we literally landed right on top of the two LSF vessels. After one of the pilots was foolish enough to demand the return of the navy pilot I had safely stored in my hold for questioning, they moved to engage us.

Matt suffered a weapons malfunction a short way into the fight, his mine dropped jamming and causing his payload to explode. FOrtunately I was able to tractor in his escape pod before the LSF could target it. I continued to fight off the LSF, and soon enough the first fell, equalling the odds somewhat.



The second pilot proved a slightly greater challenge, though again she was no match for my Sabre, and was soon going evasive and sending out distress calls. When a number of navy vessels showed up, including a couple of gunboats, I broke off, leaving one of The Joker's thugs deeply mired in the midst of a number of vessels. I have no idea what happened to him, nor do I really care. His presence eased my withdrawal, which is all that matters.
