We have had many threads concerning the faction's ability to fight other factions with the shield vs gun type in mind. Many faction players are forced to use other faction guns because the lack of guns of their own with which they are more likely to be better in combat with. Like the Rogues used to have krakens and wyrms on their bombers and the Order used Corsair shieldbusters and Salamancas.
Why not give the factions all the weapon types, tachyon, particle, laser, pulse, plsama and so on.
It would solve problems like people complaining, that the guns they are forced to use in rp are not efficient against the enemy or that they are not used to, say, 8.00 guns, but would rather use 4.00s or 2.00s.
We could let the factions keep their "best" guns, like the Rogues having the best lasers in the game, the Outcasts having the best particle cannons and the Corsairs having the best neutron cannons.
Currently only house militaries have a 8.00 guns (LN vengeances for example) and 2.00s (LN magma hammers for example)
But the weapon technology never stays still, it would allow the faction techs to modify and build their own guns.
Would allow, say, rogues to not use lasers against grav shields, same for GMG and civilians and their flashpoints.
