A man in an advanced powered suit walked through the armoured corridor of the Barrier Gate station's south docking wing. His height was average, as was his weight. The thick exoskeleton covered his entire body with a heavy alloy. The shiny surface was dulled in a few spots from blaster fire. It made almost no noise at he stepped through the metal hallway, opening and closing airlocks every few decametres.

The final airlock was the thickest. He pressed the button to open it but it jammed.

He flexed a muscle and moved his hands towards the airlock door. A heavy electromagnetic force slammed his metal-covered palms to the sections of the door with an echoing metallic thud. He applied a good deal of pressure to the door and pushed apart, forcing it open. Moving his hands around the inside of the airlock to the other side to prevent it from slamming closed, as the hatch was known to do, he stepped through. He looked around the massive launch bay before releasing the magnetic grip on the door, which predictably slammed with a bang, alerting everyone in the bay to his presence.

He walked along the centre of the hangar in a straight line to a small ship near the exact middle of the open area, where two men stood, one unable to see the approaching man in a metal suit. People along his path stepped out of his way, others, mainly bounty hunters, were shoved to the ground.

He approached the man whose back was turned. The other man's eyes widened as he grew near. The man, in fear, stepped backwards as the armoured man came even closer.

He grabbed the man who still did not see the approaching stranger by the shoulder and slammed him against the cockpit of his ship forcefully.

"P-P-Petrov!" the man said, back pinned against his ship.

Petrov punched the man's face with his armoured fist. Blood sprayed over the side of the cockpit.

"You lying sack of SH*T!" Petrov yelled, gripping the man's shoulders and slamming him once more against the ship's nose. "YOU told me those coordinates were true, but all I got out of it was motherfrakking bounty hunters chasing my ass!"

Groaning in pain, the man said, "I didn't know, honest!"

Petrov punched him in the stomach. "Don't give me that crap!"

The man tried to roll over in pain but was unable to break free of Petrov's grasp. He wretched and gagged a bit and coughed.

"You have ten seconds to explain what the frak was going on in your head when you sent me to those hunters, or I will strap you to the back of my ship and launch into the vacuum of space, where I will sit, laughing at your misery, until your eyeballs explode and you decompress!" shouted Petrov, louder than before.

A bounty hunter walked up to Petrov, gun in hand, and tapped him on the shoulder with the barrel. He cleared his throat authoritatively.

Petrov pulled out the hilt of a sword and pressed a button, extending a fold-out blade which just barely touched the hunter's neck at full length. He turned his neck around. "Don't... you... dare..." he said before snapping his neck back to face the bleeding and broken man.

The hunter stepped back as the man began to talk. "I swear, I thought there was a wrecked *hack* ship out there! Look, this *cough* map said that..." he started.

Petrov yelled out in anger, picking up the man by the throat and hurling him across the bay into a pile of H-fuel containers. Everyone stepped back a few feet and Petrov walked towards his ship and climbed into the cockpit. He slammed the airtight glass-like material closed and fired up the manoeuvring thrusters, flying the ship into a separate launch bay, automatically opening and closing the airlocks as he passed through and out into open space. He fired up the ship's main impulse engines and then the cruise engines, setting course for the jump hole to the adjacent Cortez system.

"Damn," he cursed to himself. "I forgot to strap that bastard to the ship."

Retired, permanently.
