To the Interstellar Republican Team,
This past half-year has been rough for Republican as a whole. Some departments, like Shipbuilding and Insurance, have seen dramatic increases in sales, but increased piracy has cut into profits of both of those departments. Other departments, like RepEx and Ingolstadt Ore Processing have suffered from a lack of sales and visibility.
Republican as a whole is still a profitable business, generating 5.79 billion credits in revenue per quarter. Rising costs and slipping market share for RepEx have me worried though. To combat those two problems, the in-house escort wing Black Talon is being reformed to combat piracy. Human Resources and Sales teams have been instructed to go on a recruiting drive for new employees and long-term shipping contracts.
The Vice Presidents of Research and Development and Alster Shipbuilding are collaborating on a few new projects to better serve the Rheinland Military. All of the Vice Presidents have been instructed to report to the Board of Directors and myself by the end of year with plans on how to tackle the most challenging problems facing Republican today.
I am also pleased to announce the creation of Republican Limousine, a venture service focusing on providing cost-effective luxury transportation for the upper management of smaller companies. Theodor Neumann is heading up that enterprise.
Finally, the most important announcement. I have been given authority from the Board of Directors to reform Black Talon into a proper fighting force that unlawfuls fear gaining the attention and ire of. They will serve three mandates. Secure shipments and RepEx vessels; Eliminate known pirate threats; harm Liberty shipping. While Black Talon will be organizationally underneath RepEx, they will have their own operational budget, and their own vice president. (If anyone is interested in that position please send a NeuralNetMail to HR.) In addition to the aforementioned priority objectives, Black Talon will also secure some needed resources for the Research and Development Department.
That brings me to RepEx herself, the Foundation of the Republican Corporation. Between resignations and retirements the Shipping Corps has found herself rather thin of employees. Human Resources has been told to rebuild the shipping fleet, and Alster will begin refitting shipping vessels to match the new employees. But to the pilots of RepEx I say this, keep up the good work. Always be looking for convoy opportunities, and good escort pilots that we can recruit. Also, good shipping captains that we can recruit. Please use this channel to report any such potential employees. We are close to closing a deal with the GMG for a shipping contract for HFuel. But always be on the lookout for new short term and long term shipping contracts.
