Proposed faction creation and timeline.


During the Eighty Years War (589-668 A.S.), There were many instances where due to the insufficient loyalty of some of his men, Many of the Orders given by the Kanzler went incomplete. These orders where known to be illegal or unethical, and while popularity of the Kanzler was low, Not many Military members really wanted to risk being charged for war crimes. The Kanzlers 'rough' tactics and ideas were well known for success, but many pilotes simply did not have the loyalty to follow these dark orders.
Noticing that the majority of his military was weak at the time, the Kanzler decided to hand pick a group of Officers and Pilots who were extremmly loyal to him to become part of a group called the 'Hand des Adlers' Which roughly translates to 'Hands of the Eagle'. At first the group only consisted of a few hundered Officers and Enlisted pilots, but as the war progressed, and the group started striking hard at its enemies in ways never attempted before. Members peaked at roughly 22,500 at the end of the Eighty Years War. Afterwards membership began to decline, as fewer pilots were joining the group as there was no war, and many had lost faith in the new Kanzler.

Membership spiked a little in the 'Popular Revolution' (672 A.S.) as the people of Rheinland became outraged. Membership levels still never reached higher then at the end of the 80 Years War. Members were roughly between 10400 and 11600.

Over the years leading up to the Nomad War (800-801 A.S.), there were many new Kanzlers, Some of whom caused the Hand des Adlers to gain many members, others who caused membership levels to plummit. Numbers peaked at 19440, and bottomed out at a mere 6050. Kanzler Shauhstaffen was the only Kanzler who completly ignored the Hand des Adlers, regarding them as a 'Horribly finatic group'. The Kanzler came close to slosing the group, he even had the papers drawn up. However He decided to keep them around incase they were to be of use.

During the Nomad war (800-801 A.S.) Hand des Adlers gained many new Members, managing to rise just above the maximum peak number of members at 23,056. This made the Kanzler very impressed, and it was at this point that he decided to grant the faction capital ship use. However only limited numbers of capital ships are in use by the HDA.

As of now, the Hand des Adlers is at abut 60% of its peak capacity. The current Kanzler finds many uses for the Hand des Adlers, Taking care of 'Problem' people, Invesigating Private matters, carrying out rather 'dark' missions.

May I also propose that we use the same ranking system as the current Rheinland Military? Seeing as we are really the Military, just.. darker. Aslong as it is Ok with them.
