I like the ship ,

maybe downsize the head a bit so it gets more the contour of a dragon

I think people will have to get used to it since all other miners are just ugly machines. You made a nice ship for such rough work

however In the netherlands we had sort of Gentlemen Farmers , people in nice suits letting people do their rough work for them, while they live on a fancy big Farm house. the same idea could apply for your mining ship ,

As it would be a Kishiro/ Samura lord with a lot of crew to do operate the machines and the ship would have luxury accomodations. so a combination between a Mining ship and a yacht, and in that role the dragon head fits rather good.
