Kusari can shut the gates any time it wants to - and the Liberty/Rheinland war grinds to a halt (and not in Liberty's favour!).
Rheinland can still get fuel - Republican transports move freely through the Sigmas - and Kishiro moves fuel to them.
If any House is profiteering from war - it is Kusari.
Oh Liberty, sweet, naive Liberty. What is going to happen when Kusari dominates Bretonia? What will they do next?
All I can say is - Liberty had better come up with some contingency plans fast!
First of all, Liberty -built- those gates Kusari would shut, as you claim. I'm pretty sure Ageira and DSE would paralyze the entire infrastructure in Kusari, if that would happen. That, or blowing up the locks, Liberty has a big enough fleet to face two houses at once, actually.
About GMG, Kishiro and the fuel issues ? Space is tri-dimensional, you don't need to cross Kusari to get to the Sigmas if you build new gates elsewhere. You'd think that Liberty would've invested in such a project by now.
