An ID is intended for you to know what role someone is playing OORP. InRP you go by their IFF and how they act.

However I think things like navy and police tags (LSF excepted) are visible. But things like neutral IDs should not be. (inRP)

I'm sorry, where in my reply do you find any hint of a complaint? I'm only stating facts. Annoying combo, yes, for whoever runs into them unknowingly. I doubt someone getting robbed from someone they first thought were friendly is going to celebrate their success of falling into a well set up trap.

Yes, in roleplay you go by their IFF. The ID is there for us to determine whether this fellow we are roleplaying with is who he really is. (Am I repeating myself?)
