House Police

As said befor. nothing, what is sad, since next to all of us players live in no-police states, or military dictatorships.

Civil and military power should be seperated, but in disco, they are all Policestates, where the militia equals the civil force and the government.

The armed forces should concentrate on fighting their wars, and assist in upriseings and babarian (pirate) invasions, while the police should deal with the every-day pirate and smuggler, and what ever come their ways.

Problem is, there are next to non police-players, so the Navy player have to fullfill their roles as well.
Why is that? In Freelancer Police got lightfighter, while lightfighter are Bomber-rape, they are helpless against everthing else, they cant fight gunboats or transports, and need to be very good or very lucky to fight VHF.
And no alot of players are good or trained in lightfighter. Ergo no police around.

The only thing i could think of right now, that would put the police forces around sirius in the position to be able to fulfill the duity that the RP would demand from them are:
"Police-Bombers",
they need them to take out traders, and to deal with the random Trident pirateing.

Rheinland at least got the Mjolnir, a SHF, that can efectively use a Nova or a Minirazor, but thats it, and Roc for police is uncool.

So please Devs and Shipmodelers, give all the houses a Policebomber, maybe balanced as Havok-copys, with cool and housetypical design.
