You are right it is a bit one-sided event. There are several reasons for why it is perceived as such:
1. The Reapers here are the aggressors so even if the BAF would fend off the attack, all they only win is that their convoy is safe. I mean, kinda logical, I guess?
2. The whole "terraforming scientists" were planned by the RoS faction that they would get a few of them anyways, I thought it would be a nice gesture of me to at least make it a bit more realistic with an event.
3. Even if the reward for winning on the Planetform/BAF side seems a little bit "lame" what possibly else could they receive?

Added as "maybe" on the list. I know there are alot of members in the BAF faction, and I do know that many have already seen this thread. I assume many aren't registering because they don't find the event attractive, if this is the case you must inform me about this, else I'm wasting my time here...
