Today I was ordered to go and take pictures of Planet New Tokyo, because apparently the entire Recon squadron had their day off. I took the Omega-Sigma route to Kusari. It was uneventful up until Sigma-17, where I ran into a problem. His name was Frostbite, and he was a Bounty Hunter. A persistent little bastard - he tailed me all the way through Sigma-19 and Honshu, after a bounty someone had apparently placed on our heads. This is him pursuing me through Honshu:
Despite my best efforts to lose him, he followed me into New Tokyo, where I was forced to fight him due to a Kusari Police patrol disrupting my cruise engines. I landed many good hits on him, dropping his shield a few times, but my supply of batteries and nanobots was depleted from the radiation in Omega-41 and a Bounty Hunter patrol in Omicron Theta, and I eventually went down. Fortunately, one of our sleeper cells picked up my distress beacon and arranged my travel back to Rheinland secreted in a Samura transport, which was "conveniently" raided by Hessians, who took me back to Omega-52.
Before he caught up to me, I did manage to take two pictures of the planet, one from a distance and one from up close. They are attached below:
Comrades, these Bounty Hunters are nothing but a pack of dishonourable pigs and war profiteers. When the glorious Red Dawn sweeps over Sirius, we must make sure they are the first to face the firing squads. Until then, we must continue to exterminate them at every opportunity. In addition, we must find out who placed this contract on us, and bring down the wrath of the People on his head, so others shall learn the folly of such an action.
